TIM WELLS - BRIEF BIOGRAPHY

Tim Wells studied Drama and English(with a teaching qualification) and has freelanced since 1993 taking leading roles in many productions both drama and musical, in a career which he established in South Africa until 2013. Highlights for Tim have been lead vocalist alongside Joseph Clark in "Suite Sting", "The Piano Men" and "Concert Fever". Drama productions include Maurice Podbrey's production of Michael Frayn's Copenhagen - role of Heisenberg. Anthony Akerman's "Old Boys", John van de Ruit's War Cry and Crooked, Kickstart's Popcorn and Oleanna(for which Tim was awarded Best Actor in 2008).Other theatre appearances were in Kickstart's "the God of Carnage"(for which he won best actor and best comedy performance at the Mercury Durban Theatre Awards) and "Don't Dress for Dinner".

In 2013 - role of Finlay in the SA premier of Robert Fridjhon's "Twitch" and the role of Professor Marcus in the SA premiere of "The Ladykillers".

Supporting role in the short film "A Shot at the Big Time", written and produced by Janet van Eeden which was shown at The Cannes Film Festival in 2014

Countless voice overs for all applications of recorded voice since 1992, including sending work to the UK and USA.

Voiced the part of Audrey 2 - the man-eating plant in "Little Shop of Horrors" which toured to Cape Town in 2015.

Since arriving in Bath in 2013, continued with regular voiceover studio work in his own studio - internationally - and taken part in music workshops and performances as well as Theatre Royal Bath Engage productions "The Dogs of War" and "Thy Name is Woman" (film) as well as the 24 hour Plays at The Ustinov Studio, Theatre Royal Bath. In addition, Tim was involved with the Theatre Royal Bath Engage production "Blackout" which featured 3 plays written for audio only, performed live to a blindfolded audience. The plays required performers to be voice actors as well as orchestrators of sound effects and foley to create an audio landscape in a live context equal to a radio play production or cinematic soundscape.

Tim also performed in two student film productions for Screenology film school in Bristol, including recording voiceovers for the productions.

Tim played the role of George Melbury in Hammerpuzzle Theatre Company's "The Woodlanders" in 2016 which opened at The Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham and toured various venues in the South West.

Tim's voice is featured on a number of web-based facilities, including the site Fiverr.com. This site provides (amongst many various forms of digital services) voiceover services at entry level budgets.
